Scientific studies have proven that the properties of FSC Plantation Teak and old-growth forest Teak wood are identical. Both types of Teak are characterized by its dense, durable and beautifully grained wood. Using the same growing conditions, plantation-grown Teaks qualities are identical to the lumber from old-growth forest which is no longer available and illegal to harvest. The renewable Teak lumber we produce on our plantations has a very positive effect on the environment, reducing carbon in the atmosphere and habitats for wild-life.
