Scientific studies have proven that the properties of FSC Plantation Teak and old-growth forest Teak wood are identical. Both types of Teak are characterized by its dense, durable and beautifully grained wood. Using the same growing conditions, plantation-grown Teaks qualities are identical to the lumber from old-growth forest which is no longer available and illegal to harvest. The renewable Teak lumber we produce on our plantations has a very positive effect on the environment, reducing carbon in the atmosphere and habitats for wild-life.
Teak, the grandest of all tropical hardwoods, is characterized by its density, durability, strength and alluring honey-gold wood grain. It’s also resistant to water and moisture. As well as impervious to insects such as termites and it is anti-bacterial and will not mold or mildew.
Our plantations offer FSC Teak lumber from a reliable and renewable source without contributing to the destruction of tropical forests.
